He completed his graduation at Lotus College of Optometry, Mumbai, India. He then worked as a faculty at the Wavikar Eye Institute before getting accepted to the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) for a Ph.D. He came to UAB in order to further his education in the field of vision science and learn more about myopia management, peripheral refraction, and optical modeling.
He is currently a rising fifth-year student under Dr. Andrew Pucker, working on multifocal contact lenses for myopia control. As a graduate student at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Keyur has had success in becoming the treasurer, and now vice president of the Graduate Student Government. He was also named as a student assistant for the Optometry, and Vision Science Journal, as well as Student Vice President of The Honor society of Phi Kappa Phi. Keyur is not only a very involved member of the graduate school at UAB but now a published scientist.
